Mr. Rapotec "Lovie" as my parents referred to him, was such a gentle soul. I will miss him, but he is with his maker & my Parent's, Jim & Janet Shugar. His wife, Mrs. Thelma Rapotec, will always be in my heart & thoughts. You'll be strong & please keep in touch with me.

My condolences to Thelma, Rap and I served together at Ft. Hood, Texas and were very good friends, we reconnected after about 50 years about 15 years ago.

I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He worked with my dad, Robert Brinegar, in Oakland, MD, over 55 years ago.My mom, Betty, kept in touch with Joe and Thelma ever since (even after my dad passed). I remember both from my childhood. I will never forget the graduation card he sent to my daughter. She expressed her love of birds and he was so excited to share that birds (and chickens) were living examples of dinosaurs. I loved that he typed his letters on an old typewriter- sometimes it...
