Joseph Russell Richards, 60, of Goodyear, AZ passed away on July 21, 2015 in Goodyear, AZ. Visitation will be held at 10:00 am with Funeral Services to follow at 10:30am on Saturday August 1, 2015 at Estrella Mountain Community Church, 10485 S. Estrella Pkwy 85338. Arrangements entrusted to Thompson Funeral Chapel in Goodyear, AZ.

My condolences to Joe's family. Joe and I started our part-time work at Estrella Golf Club the same day. I spoke with Joe just before he left for his last round of golf, only to find out the next morning of his passing. Joe was a fine man! We certainly miss him at the course.

God be with you all in your time of grief in Joseph's passing on at his young age. I did get the opportunity to speak with him on such a positive note while asking him questions about his job and he was always very encouraging about what his group at aps had to offer in work knowledge. I have great memories of working with Joe on many IT projects. I was lucky to run into him a couple of months ago when our golf foursome decided to play Estrella. Very surprised to see he was living his dream as the Starter. Thoughts and prayers to his family during this truly difficult time.

I knew Joe when I was with APS. Such a nice guy. He would light up any room he entered. He is one of the good guys.

Dear Cindy, I was shocked and saddened to hear of Joe's passing. I have fond memories of Joe and his family when my family first moved to Phoenix so many years ago and of growing up with all of you. My condolences to you and your family at this most difficult time.

Joe was one of the first guys I played with in the APS golf league and then had the opportunity to work with him for 30 years in IT. We will miss Joe, he was a good friend.

My time with Joe was very brief. However, these things are for certain. He loved his family, working at Estrella, retirement and to golf.
Consider myself fortunate to know Joe, call him a friend and truly believe he is in a better place. Attached is one of the views we enjoyed together (Estrella) with his close friends not too long ago.
