Gerry, We were so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. It's been many years since we've seen each other, but we have some great memories of wonderful times together. As you may or may not know, we live in Arizona now. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Gerry and Family. We only recently learned of Joe's illness and were saddened to learn of his passing. We're leaving for Florida tomorrow and would otherwise attend the ceremony.
