Not sure what to say?

On this day, I light this candle of the many sacrifices and contributions that you made to your country. You were an outstanding and honorable serviceman and I value the services that you rendered in the 27 years of being a great leader in the U.S. Army. I love and miss you every day of my life. Happy Veteran Day Scott. Love, "VJ"

My favorite photo of SGM, it seems as if this smile never left his face.

SGM Scott,
You have the single greatest impact of any person on my life. I am currently writing a paper for my ROTC class about the person who most helped you prepare to become a leader and I can think of no other person. Your welcoming presence and helping nature give me motivation to be like you. I thank you for everything you have done to help me improve as a person, and I'm glad to have known you for as long as I did. You have a lasting impact on me, and I know that that holds true on...

I love you Scott and I miss you so much.

Continue to think of you daily out of guilt as I have come to deal with that by the grace of God, but because the first day that I met you I declared to my mother that you were the most amazing person that I had ever met. My heart literally aches without your presence but I know that you would want me to live each day to the best of my ability and to Trust God to see me through. I love you and I miss you more than I ever thought was possible.

Dear Gilliam,

Thank you so much for signing the guest book. It means a lot knowing how much people valued this man. He truly was a wonderful person and I miss him so much. I am glad that he was there for you and I thank you as well as covet your prayers.

Blessings,
Valerie Scott

My dear SGM!! Was one of the best men alive. He had nothing but genuine love in his heart for anybody he met. I always think about SGM and what he would do or what advice he would give me for a certain situation. My father wasn't around when I was growing up but when I meet SGM he was my father figure. And I don't think he ever knew how much he ment to me. But sometime we would just sit after Drill Team practice or school and just talk about life. He's the person that would ALWAYS!!! Be there...

I came across your school's ID badge today in one of your drawers and as always you were smiling. Oh, how I wish that I could see your smiling face, but I know that I will one day. I miss you Scott

It has been almost twenty months since you left and daily I have to ask the Lord to give me the strength to continue. I had no idea that it would be this challenging. You were such a beautiful soul and I truly miss you with every fiber of my being. I love you! Valerie Joyce

It is still so surreal that you are not here. I miss you daily and I hope that you know how much.
