Not sure what to say?

The Van Horns will not forget how you touched our lives my friend.

Joe, It has been a year since you died, I still miss you very must. Saturday night I could not sleep thinking of the last time we spoke a year ago. You are very much in my heart, thoughts, and prayers always.

I miss him already

i wrote a page and a half of memories of things we did together, from when we were toddlers together in the first big house you lived in with the tall steps we would sit at the top of with toys we would sneak down them to play with in the livingroom,to your ever loving happy smile,no matter what, even when i was a crying baby, you still smiled as a baby,we were the same age and most summers together growing up with cousin butch and my sister and brothers, trips together in the car,you and i...

While we all know no one lives forever, Joe was a person whom you felt would always be at SMM. He had limitless energy and never seemed to need sleep. We spent many a night at Waffle House or TJ's, or any other all night restaurant just yaking about the events of the day, life, sports, the weather..he could talk! But he loved the kids, wanted to impact their lives in a positive way, wanted them to feel good about themselves and to know that someone cared about them. He leaves behind a...

May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.

I am very sorry about your loss. Joe always made the sports at St. Mary Magdalene the best in town. I spent many summers enjoying playing baseball on the fields due to his support

Joe's passing deeply saddens me. We shared many good times at Bishop Ready and the University of Kentucky. I will always remember his generous spirit and cheerful attitude. May God bless and keep him always.

I have known Joe since I was a 12 year old in the middle 1970's playing for St. Catharine in the St. Mary Magdalene Diocesan Baseball Tournament. I would get to catch up with him in the intervening years at Diocesan sporting events and with his officiating buddies at Plank's Cafe. What a great advocate for youth sports and for kids in general. You will be missed Joe! God bless you.
