Max showed me the location where Great Grandfather, John Willis, and Great Grandmother, Anna Lena Willis, built their cabin in Sandy, Utah (about 7600 South on the west side of what is now called Creek Road). They lived there for a few years before John requested and received a 140 acre Land Grant from the U.S. Government (south of Grantsville) and they then moved to Grantsville, Utah where they lived until they died.

My sincere coldolences to Max's family. I remember how we looked forward to Aunt Leona and Unkle Joe and their boys driving down from Ogden to attend the family get-togethers at my Grandparents home in Grantsville. (My grandparents were Harry and Adah Smart Willis.) Max was always so popular, friendly, and fun to be around. I can't begin to tell the Soelberg family how sorry I am for their loss.
I too lost my Mother and Father within a short time about a year ago, and feel the pain of their passing to this day. At least we can take solace in knowing that they are together again and with other loved ones. I did not have the pleasure of knowing Joe, but I have worked with his son, Steve for many years and know him to be a fine, upstanding person which reflects on his upbringing.
