Allison, my deepest condolences to you and to your children and the entire Sturm family. I don't get the city newspaper and was upset when my sister who substituted in the School office at SJB so the teachers could attend Joe's funeral, just happened to mention the name. Please accept my deepest regrets and I will be offering up an hour of adoration in front of the Blessed Sacrament for you and the entire family. God bless; you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Allison and Strum family. I'm so sorry for your loss. There really are no words.
I have such fond memories of growing up on Tacoma ave. Playing for hours with Fred and Joe at their house. It was always the fun place to go to. We had so much fun. Such a wonderful and close family. A beautiful legacy. I know you and Joe passed that on to your kids. You are in my prayers.

I still carry with me great memories of Joe. Not just memories of sitting in the Tacoma kitchen or driving around in that green dart or swimming across Lake Monroe in April or playing pool in the Libbing basement. What I remember the most was Joe's ability to love. His unconditional love set a standard for me that has been hard to live up to. I will always remember Joe with a smile on my face. His impact on my life, in those "formative" years, and the bonds we shared.
