Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Trabue and family,
I just heard about Mr. Trabue's passing from Bill Weinberg yesterday. I've been at U of L for 38 years (still in Crawford Gym until they tear it down in a few months) and my best memories are the early years. I loved seeing you at our annual dept. party at the Brakmeier camp. You were always so friendly and such a big part of our HPER family. Mr. Trabue and Mrs. Brakmeier would sit in my office between classes (they shared the gym when they taught Judo and...

Condolences to you and your family

Dear Sara and family. I am do sorry to hear about the death of Joe. I know how much he meant to my dad and mom. I never saw him without a smile on his face and truly loved him and you. Sincerely, Jeanne Carol Camp Blackburn

From the time I was young, I guess near on 50 years ago, I was greeted in the hallway of church by Joe. Always enthusiastic, always expressing his love for me because God first loved him. He is truly one of the very few high impact people in my life. I am filled with joy to know of the reward that is now his but I feel so much sorrow for my friend Sarah, his dedicated bride, and his daughter Nancy which I grew up with at church.

I pray the gaping hole in the hearts of Sarah, all...

Knowing Joe was a pleasure. He will be missed. Sending thoughts and prayers to his family.

Sara, my deepest sympathy to you and your family. I often think of our days at Indian Trail so long ago. God bless you.

I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to the family of Professor Joseph Trabue. He was an outstanding teacher and mentor for many University of Louisville students, myself included. For a number of years after his retirement he would eat lunch in and around the university and I would often join him. I treasured those moments for his wisdom and genuine concerns for others. His love and devotion to the university was exceeded only by his love for students and colleagues.

OLD FREIND OF SARA & JOE AND THEIR FAMILY GROWING UP IN GLASGOW,KY. WILL MISS HIM. WAS A GREAT CHRISTIAN MAN.

For the Trabue family-Coach Trabue was a great man whom I admired greatly. He was a caring professor and mentor....we have lost a wonderful man and he will be truly missed. The memories are many, that will never be forgotten. I know he is in a better place, and he will still be with us in spirit. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. I first met Coach in 1965, and what an impression he made on me! He was the type of man that was compassionate, and yet demanding. I'll...
