Not sure what to say?

I recently learned of the passing of Mr. Walsh and wanted to express my condolences.
He was my elementary teacher, and one of only a few that had a huge impact on me over the years.
I’m now 48 and work as a coach/consultant but also work as an educator.
I recall Mr. Walsh as being a little strict, however, it provided me structure, clear expectations, and facilitated self accountability in me.
It took many years to realize the importance of those skills.

To The Walsh Family

I have had the privilege to have know Joe since I was 11 years old at Broad St.
Elementary School. He was Great Teacher and friend to all. The Highest Compliment an Irishman can pay to another Irishman is, " I'm better man to have to known you" My the angels welcome to heaven and maybe the angels will have you, get back to teaching how to get to heaven. My God Bless Ya Joe!

My thoughts and prayers go to Mr. Walsh's family. He was a unique teacher. Mr. Walsh was my 6th grade math teacher at Henry B. Endicott School. He always saw potential in all of his students, even if we gave up on ourselves. He always expected me to do my best in math and never give up. Now, I teach my math students to do their best, never give up and appreciate themselves as learners. Thank you Mr. Walsh.

Maureen & family, Dads have such an influential role in the lives of each one in his family. You were blessed to have such a faithful, loving, nurturing father who not only cared for all of you but all his students, friends & neighbors as well. What a great legacy he has left. I trust the saddness of your great loss will be replaced, in time, with precious, sweet memories & a determination to continue your journey in life in the example he set for you of honor & faith.Heart felt sympathies to...

We are truly sorry for the loss of your Dad. I always remember him with a smile. I know Jeanne and Jamie welcomed him home with open arms. Even though those on earth are feeling a loss, Heaven is a brighter place. Our thoughts and wishes go to you all...Kim (Engel), Kevin, Kris and Kyle Sterzin

By far... the best teacher ever! I always told him this whenever I ran into him. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a great man and will be missed by all
