Family-Placed Death Notice

SHERWOOD, Josephine JOSEPHINE "JO" SHERWOOD Jo Sherwood, of Duluth passed away Friday, August 29th after a six month heart related illness. She was preceded in death by parents Benny and Stephana Mascio, brother Raymond, and sister Amelia all of Bedford Indiana. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bill; sisters: Evelyn (August - deceased) Baker, Betty (Don) True both of Bedford Indiana, and twin sister Ann (Jerry - deceased) Manzenberger of Bradenton Florida; children Ray (Jan) Sherwood of Snellville, Fred Sherwood of Danville California and Susan (Jeff) of Minneapolis, Minnesota; grandchildren Michael (Jennifer), Melissa, Tim, Lindsay, and great-grandchildren Katherine and Sarah. Jo was a retired employee of Rich's department store having worked there for 25 years. Jo was a member of All Saints Catholic Church for 25 years. She was a very active volunteer with Joan Glancy Hospital and Gwinnett Medical Center with a total of 13 years and 4825 hours of service. The family would like to thank all of the staff and doctors at Emory University's Cardiac Unit and The Rollins Center, especially Dr. Allen Dollar who offered great comfort and excellent care to Mom. We would also like to thank Mom's hundreds of friends who sent cards, flowers, phoned and visited during her illness. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. at Patterson's Oglethorpe Hill on Monday, September 1st with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 2nd with interment at Arlington Memorial Park. We are shocked and saddened by Jo's passing. We have many fond memroies to remember her by espically her parites. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers always.
