Jo Rita Crooks (As I knew her)
214 - 16 E Maple Street
Jeffersonville, IN

Years - 1938 plus

My Dad's funeral home was acroos the street from the Crooks residence
The Bullingtons lived next door to the funeral home - Combs & Scott. As a matter of fact, Bubby Bullington gave me the information that allowed me to write this epistle.

Mary K, John, Zeta Ruth, Jo, Patty, and Sissy, (the baby was nor born yet I think) were in almost constant contact with each...

We were very saddened to learn of Jo-Jo's passing. She was a dear lady and always had a smile and warm greeting for us when we saw her at Mass at St. Coleman's. God bless you all and comfort you at this difficult time.

To Mark, Danny, Laura, Vincent, Karen and grandchildren,

My special memory of your mother was when she was 15 years old and living on Maple St. in Jeffersonville, IN. Joey, my aunt and her cousin, Clara Louise Bullington along with a lady friend called Marsha Sader traveled to Niagra Falls, NY. Just outside Washington DC your mom got a foreign object in her eye. Everyone tried to remove it, but to no avail. They decided to try to find a doctor to remove it. After a lengthy pursuit...

To Mark, Danny, Laura, Vincent and Karen,
I remember sitting on the steps of your house off Sunrise with your mom when I was 14 and talking to her for hours. She made me feel so special. Karen you were just a toddler.
She always treated Brian and I like family and I mourn for her passing. Our hearts are with all of you. We will never forget her.

Memories last forever. We laugh, we cry but we get great comfort from each other. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

From all of us at Dr. George Galluzzo's office, we want to express our sadness and sympathies for your loss.

Mark, Danny, Laura, Vincent, Karen and the grandchildren,
My heart and deepest sympathy goes out to everyone one of you. Aunt Joey was and always will be a very special person that will remain in my heart forever. And one of the many things that I will treasure from her, is her smile.
Love,
Tiffany

Dear Laura,
Her smile. That's what I always think of when I think of your mom. And her kindness...and how proud your mom was of you and Karen and your brothers.
Much love,

To All of Joey's Family, my deepest sympathy. I often remember our lunch duty days at ST. Clement's School. My prayers are with you all.
