Not sure what to say?

When I came into our neighborhood yesterday after being away since July, I know something had happened to your family. With a heavy heart I have been searching to find out and am so very sad to learn of your loss. From one parent to another, your sorrow must be deep. I pray your heart will fill its pain with happy memories in the time ahead. He is with God now and you will see him again.

To the Bredlau Family:

Know that Joshua is in a better place. He made the sacrafice that many of us would not. John 15:13 "No one has greater love than this, that one should lay down his life for his friends." I appreciate the service that Joshua gave to his country and he will live forever amongst the heros.

Everytime I look up at the sky and see a break in the clouds where the sky is blue or the sun is shining brightest, I know you are there and it makes me smile. I miss you so much.

Even though I haven't seen your family in such a long time, my heart breaks for all of you. LT and I have such wonderful memories of the times our families spent together. Josh was about 10 the last we saw him, but I am not surprised to see what a wonderful young man he grew to be. I know you are all proud of what he accomplished in his life. Know that we love you!

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Bredlau family,

I know there are no words to express how you must feel right now, but know that your Son will be remembered always, and missed tremendously. I am proud to have known him. And even more proud to have served with him. I look forward to meeting with him again some day.

Take care, and God Bless.

MR. and Mrs. Bredlau,

I had the distinct honor of having your son in my squad. He was a quick learner and dedicated Soldier. I'll never forget his upbeat atitude while we were in Iraq, it made my time and others much easier. He was also extremely dependable and loyal. Often he would go out of his way to do little things like picking up food for other soldiers, selfless tasks that made others feel better in that hard place. I will never forget your son, I think that the world is...

Josh was an amazing friend. He was always there for his family and friends. He was the kid who you could call at 2 in the morning crying because someone hurt your feelings. He would listen to everything we had to say. I will miss him dearly, for he was one of my closest friends. He helped me get through some very hard times in my life. I know he is watching us from above, and may he know that he will always be loved, and never forgotton. he will always hold a piece of our hearts.

I will forever be proud of Joshua and the young man my cousin became. That is something that only the proper nurturing and guidance from a wonderful family (mom, dad, brothers & sister) can guide. He accomplished so much in his 20 years. Continue to support and give strength to one another. Love you all.
