Not sure what to say?

As a mother of two service men myself, I was so deeply moved and honored to be aboard the flight from Atlanta to Houston that carried SSG Rogers home. I can't begin to explain the emotion I experienced knowing I was present on his final flight home to his own mother. And the fear it envoked that one day some other mother may be carrying one of my sons home...
As I post this the tears flow yet again, and I pray his parents find some measure of comfort in knowing they have raised and...

Josh will be missed greatly..he was a great friend and hero to me and many others. RIP brother.

Today we lay to rest a Son, Brother, Friend and Hero. Its not an easy day for most, but we need to remember that a funeral isnt a goodbye for forever..its just a til we meet again, a celebration of the life that was. Josh left as his legacy an enduring spirit of happiness and pride. He left us all with memories to make us smile..a Hero not only to our community but our nation as a whole and to the numerous lives he saved that we will never know.I pray you find peace in knowing the many lives...

I was in the same company with Rogers when he was with 1-23inf. battalion. I didn't know him personally but it was quiet clear throughout the company that he was a hell of a soldier. He'll be missed dearly.
