Coach Ayala was a wonderful coach, teacher, and mentor. I had the privilege of meeting her my freshman year, and kept in touch with her throughout my high school years. When I left sports I got very different comments from the different coaches, but her words were always very encouraging. She was very supportive, specially during my senior year, and she played a large role in allowing me to be where I am today. I was saddened to learn of her departure and even more because I would not be able...
