We met Joy 51 years ago when they came to live in our Village and I had the privilege of becoming Wentworths Childminder until they returned back home to the USA. Joy was a very kind and loving Person who I know will be thoroughly missed by so many Family and Friends, I will certainly miss our annual Christmas catch ups and Family updates. Joy you are now at Peace, Good Night, God Bless, our thoughts with your Family and Friends at this difficult time. Rose and Mike Green, Eynsham, England

I am a cousin of Earl Miller. My aunt, Grace Pinkston, adored Joy and was always glad when she came to Washington, DC to visit. My husband and I were at Leigh's wedding and Joy and her husband were the most gracious hosts. She will be missed as she was an extraordinarily kind and humble person. Never knew she was Homecoming Queen.

I also grew up on Bill Avenue and met Joy as a neighbor. My mother and I ran into Joy in 2001 at Fred´s Shanty where she immediately recognized my mother. We had a great conversation of Bill Ave and all the memories of neighbors and friends. May all the memories her family have help to ease their grief. Rest in the light Joy!

So sorry to hear about Joy's passing. I grew up with Joy when we both lived on Bill Ave. in Groton. We were able to reconnect a few years ago when I was down from NH and in Waterford. I have wonderful memories of us as kids.

Thank you for your kind notes and memories. They are appreciated.

I was so sad to hear this news. As teenagers, Joy and I were neighbors and great friends. The years and distance have kept us apart but we kept in touch and for that, I will always be grateful. May she rest in peace.

My mother adored Joy in high school...I am actually named after her...sending my warmest thoughts of peace to her family
