I will never forget the day we met. There I was 61 years old and meeting my boyfriends parents. You took a nervous, scared women and opened your arms and greeted me as the family member I was to become. Our common bond was our love for your son. You were the first person to call me Mrs. Bowen. Your love for your family was beyond compare and I was so blessed to be a part of it.
I never got to call you Mother, but I loved you as one.
Rest in peace, my dear Mother.
Love,
Kay
