Joyce Ann Grubbs

GRUBBS, Joyce Ann Adams, 72, of Varina, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 25, 2022. She was a retired employee of AT&T. What she loved most of all was her family - they knew how much she loved them and she knew how much they loved her. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary Taylor Mitchell and John Charles Adams; and a special grandmother, Minnie Lee Taylor. She is survived by her daughter, Tina Marie Craft (Kenny); son, Kenneth Owen Grubbs III; apple of her eye, granddaughter, Kayla Marie Craft; sisters, Naomi Call of Virginia, Pam Scott and Tammi Tull of Texas; brothers, Clinus "Billy" and Steven Hensley of Virginia and Johnny Adams of Texas; special friend, Kenneth Owen Grubbs Jr.; bonus daughter, Vanessa Crews; bonus grandchildren, Valerie and Rachel; many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews; and her sidekick fur baby, Lily Ann. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a funeral service will be held Friday, July 1, at 2 p.m. Interment will be private.
