Joyce McCleese Obituary

Joyce M. (Heckert) McCleese, 79 of Bucyrus passed away on Wednesday July 9, 2025, at Mill Creek in Galion. Joyce was born January 25, 1946, in New Winchester, Ohio to the late Mervin and Ethel (Allen) Heckert. She was married October 20, 1962, to Clyde McCleese Sr. who preceded her in death on March 2, 2016. Joyce was also preceded in death by infant great grandchildren Jackson and Brynlee; siblings Betty Nickelson, George, Melvin, Arthur, and Helen Heckert, and Norma Jean Thacker; father and mother-in-law Marvin and Annie Bloomfield; and son-in-law Rick Wilson

.Joyce is survived by children Vicky Wilson, Clyde (Gina) McCleese Jr., Mona (Carl) Stuckman, and Joe (Tori) McCleese; grandchildren Rocky, Josh, Ryan (Kelly), Stacy (Cody), Kelly (Kelsey), Zach, Kristen (Austin), Ozzy, Amber (Corey), and Shelby (Isaak); numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and son-in-law Mark Ely.

Joyce was a homemaker and lived her entire life in this area. She enjoyed playing Bingo, scratching lottery tickets, playing zilch, and spending time with her family.A Private Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date and the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
