I remember going to the Philly area to pick up Gordon to go to go back Northwestern before my senior year. The tail end of of a hurricane came through there and forced rain up under my wind shield and soaked all the cash I was taking with me (about $1000, a lot of money in those days). I had the privilege and honor of meeting and getting to know Joyce when my parents lived at Waverly! Joyce was without a doubt my favorite! She was so lovely to my dad! Pure class ! So nice loving and welcoming to all ! Making cakes jams and whatnot for my dad ! We shared our love for sewing ! What talents she had and was so humble with them . A pure a real gem in life !
