Love to Peter and Jane I know that Judith will leave a huge hole in your heart. A loving sister and sister in law, loving wife, incredibly smart woman and encourager and mentor to others. I was sad to read of Judith´s death in the Wellington paper this morning. She was a great companion when we were both working on our anthropology theses at Victoria University: intellectually vigorous, along with humane humour, insightful comment, and concern for inequities. Her laughter after a wry observation remains with me still.

I first met Linda and Judith when I interviewed for a research assistant position and that was the beginning of a long and deeply meaningful relationship. Judith was a strong advocate personally and professionally in ways that changed my world. Over the years we became fast friends and our friendship endured despite my move to Humboldt.
