Judy Blanchard

Judy Blanchard passed away Sunday June 14th, 2015 surrounded by her family after a brief battle with cancer, she was 77. She was the beloved wife of Ronald Blanchard for 53 years. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa and resided in Bucktown for more than 50 years. Beloved mother of: Kelle Robichaux (Ronnie), Susan Collins (Lee), Jeanie Villafranco (Brian) and Sally Trapani (Jacob). Beloved grandmother of: Nicole Bigos, Ronnie Robichaux (Gina), Jeremy Robichaux, Michael Breaux, Shannon Villafranco (Brian), Brian Villafranco (Katie), Jacob Trapani, Jr. (Brienne) and Jordan Trapani. Great-Grandmother of: Kaden Bigos, Jasmine Bigos, Emma Robichaux, Brayden Koretzky, Hailee Villafranco and Katelyn Villafranco. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Patsy Powell and niece Angel Lavigne along with a host of other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Jeanine Mendel, who we consider as family and our closest friend. All of those who knew her loved her dearly as much as she loved them. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana on Friday June 19th, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM.
