Judy Raviotta Obituary

Judy Ann Perkins Raviotta, born December 18, 1946 in New Orleans, lost her eighteen-year battle with breast cancer on April 13, 2023 at her home in Denton, Texas in the loving embrace of her husband. Daughter of the late Sidney and Jeannine (Crassus) Perkins, she is survived by her husband, Joseph John Raviotta, her sons, Jonathan (Wendy) Raviotta, Todd Raviotta, and Benjamin (Sara) Raviotta, and grandson, Dominick Raviotta. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Sidney Perkins, Jr. Judy was an educator, and artist; in her forty-year career she shared her love of numbers with thousands of students in Louisiana and Virginia, affectionately known as "Mrs. Rav." Judy married Joseph John on August 3, 1968, and her greatest accomplishment was her family. She was a patient, supportive, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered. Judy will be honored in New Orleans at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Friday, July 14, 2023. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am in Lake Lawn Metairie's Chapel with interment in Metairie Cemetery at the family tomb and a celebration of life reception to follow.
