Julian Garza Obituary

October 31, 2015
Julian Garza was called home on Saturday October 31, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents Inocencia and Julian Garza Sr., brother Abel Garza and sister Irma Ramos. Julian is survived by his wife Odilia. Julian was proud of his children Liz, Michelle, and Joshua. He was blessed to gain his stepchildren Luis, Samuel, Eliseo, and Jemima. Julian had six surviving siblings: Irene, Oralia, Olivia,Manuel, David, Danny, Jesse, and Phillip; numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Julian never met a stranger. Everyone was his best friend. While ill, people shared stories of how he was there for them during their hard times. He used is business, Garza's Barber and Styling as a vessel to provide fellowship to anyone who seeked it. He was also a jokester. He glued a quarter inside his shop and would laugh as people tried to pick it up. Fathers would bring their sons for their first haircuts so they would get their $2 bill from the famous "Julian the Barber". He loved to fish with his son Joshua and grandsons. He was a mentor to some, an angel to many, and a hero to his family. We will welcome friends to celebrate Julian's life on Wednesday ?at 6 p.m. follwed by a prayer service at 7. Funeral service will be on Thursday at 9 a.m at the funeral home with the interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston cemetery.
