As I think about days gone by I remember your family and mine in Milwaukee hanging out at your pool, us swimming and our parents listening to music, laughing and drinking.

I am truly sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers to your family.

I met Julie when he came to Seattle a few years back - he was meeting up with his old friend who'd been his Millie's maid of honor when he was first married. I work at the Visitor Center in Seattle, and talked to him many, many times as he planned the trip - including a special dinner for the two of them at the Space Needle's SkyCity restaurant. We lost a great friend, fun loving, sincere and patriotic. As an aircraft gunner, made numerous missions during WWII. UNSUNG HERO.
