Ms Yoffie, you will forever be missed. my son (Andrew) is saddened by the loss and you will forever be his favorite teacher who took an interest in Dr Who with him and made him feel like an equal when he is not what "most" would classify as " normal."

To the Yoffie Family-
I had the honor of being Julie's teacher, in the fourth grade, for a short time. I always thought of Julie as a very sweet, ethereal and sensitive girl. There are just no words to convey the depth of sorrow that I feel having found out about her passing. I will always remember her as a loving girl, with so much to give, and gifted . I pray for strength to find your family in the years to come ,

To my little sister -

I love you I always have and I always will. I knew very early on that you were the greatest gift I would ever receive, and you always lived up to it. Whether it was going to Dave and Busters with me late at night when I was bored, going on hikes with Dad and me on the trails behind the Marriott, or checking out the latest and greatest at Kate Spade, you were my rock and my better half. A lot of people are eager to meet their soulmate and get married. In a sense, I knew I already had the best companion to go through life with YOU. You listened to me cry after every breakup and talked me through many times I've been at a crossroads. You were my little sister, but in a lot of ways much more mature than I was. I trusted your judgment; you always seemed to know what to say to make everything better. Any time I was nervous, uncomfortable, or upset, you were right there next to me, and we stuck together like glue.

When people would ask me to describe you, it was always easy to do. I'd simply state, Julie is the better version of me, and you were. You were as sweet as they came, very loving, the world's greatest sister and daughter, my confidant, my best friend. You were what made life exciting, kept me on my toes, and gave me something to look forward to.

Anytime I would get a gift of some kind, I knew you'd be more excited about it than I was, so I couldn't wait to give it to you. I think the cutest memory was when I was in 7th grade and would come home from Bat and Mar Mitzvah parties. You'd be standing by the door waiting for me; I'd always make sure to collect goodies at each party so I could bring them home for you. Seeing you happy made me happy.

I'll never be the same; our family will never be the same. We're missing the best part of our foursome you.

I love you Jules, and I loved being your big sister. You will always be the best thing that ever happened to me.

To Julie's family and friends -

Our family was shocked and saddened to hear the news. Our youngest daughter was in 2nd grade at River Bend this year and although she didn't have Julie as her teacher, she knew her and was very sad to hear the news. Our thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.

My son was in Julie's class 2 years ago. He came in the middle of the year and she was so sweet and made sure he was always comfortable. He always says to this date in his 3 short years of school Ms. Yoffie was his favorite teacher. We are saddened by her passing and are terribly sorry for your loss. We pray that God gives you peace and understanding at this time. And grace and mercy to your family.

Karen, David, and Lauren, I was shocked to hear the news about Julie. I vividly remember Julie as a Pre-Schooler and Religious School student at United Hebrew. She stood out among her classmates because of her keen intelligence, kind and warm personality, and extreme politeness.

Karen, I have always enjoyed seeing you around the community the last few years, and catching up on the whereabouts and successes of Julie and Lauren. My heart goes out to you and your entire family. No words can adequately express my sorrow at this most difficult time. May Julie's memory be a blessing. If you ever need anything in the future, please do not hesitate to call me.

Karen, I just heard the news this evening. Kayla came out of her room with a shock on her face and told me the horrific news. My heart breaks for you and your family. I can't even begin to think how you feel except I know it's the worst feeling in the world. I can remember Julie and Kayla back in preschool sitting together and singing and playing. She was a beautiful girl and as sweet as they come. You should be proud of how loved she was by so many people. Cherish all the memories you can. She will always be with you right by your side she was an angel on earth and now she'll be the angel watching over you. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if there's anything I can do or if you just need to vent.

Yoffie family,
I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. Julie was such a kind and loving person, always willing help anybody. I was a TA for Julie and I loved getting to go into her class every day and talk. She even stayed in contact and guided me through my first year of teaching. She will be greatly missed.

I cannot begin to express my deepest condolences to you and your family. I am devastated at the loss of such a precious young life. Julie was loved by all who knew her. She was absolutely precious to me. I loved her beautiful sense of humor and her kind and caring ways. When she would say something, I never knew if she was intentionally being funny or it just came out that way. I would often pause, look at her, and then burst into laughter when I realized she knew exactly what she was doing. She would just look at me and smile, that "Julie" smile. I will miss spending time with her, and encouraging and supporting her in the classroom. She was one of the kindest and calmest teachers I know, always a sweet word for each and every student. May your sweet memories bring you comfort in the difficult days ahead. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

To Julie's family,

I am at a total loss for words. Spending time with Julie, or Yoffie or Yoff, as I called her, was one of my favorite parts of going to work each day. I looked forward to stopping in Julie's classroom every morning before school to chat and share a few giggles. She would say the funniest things in the most dry matter-of-fact way, that would leave tears rolling down my face I was laughing so hard. I am going to miss her more than I can express. I want you to know how much I loved and appreciated her. I'm so sorry for the heartache you are feeling. Sending my love.
