Juliette Bilke

Miss Redus, later Mrs. Bilke, was one of my teachers in McAllen. I remember when she married and wrote her new name on the blackboard. She was so pretty with perfect hair and clothes. All the girls in my classes thought she was nothing short of glamorous. I think I remember her driving a Cadillac, maybe blue? She was patient, caring and kind to me and my classmates. Sometimes, teachers make such a difference in a young life that they´re still remembered 66 years later. JoAnne...
