Justin Pernell McDonald, 22, a stock clerk for Wal-Mart, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at a local hospital.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday at Baker Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1050 E. Humbolt. Visitation: noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of historic Baker Funeral Home.

Justin was in the first graduating class of Harker Heights High School in Killeen. He was baptized at Ward Chapel A.M.E. and was a member of Baker Chapel A.M.E. Church, where his father is the pastor.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Katie Mae Rischer and Fulton T. and Minnie Ola McDonald.

Survivors: Son, Javon D. McDonald; parents, the Rev. Walter R. and Carol McDonald; his sisters, Gayla D. and Kayla J. McDonald; grandfather, Joe C. Rischer; and a host of other relatives and friends.

I remember baysitting Justin, Gayla, and Jordan when they were growing up in St Luke AME Church in Waco, Tx. He was very active in the Voices of Faith, YPD, Sunday School and many other areas in the church. He will truly be missed.
