I remember baysitting Justin, Gayla, and Jordan when they were growing up in St Luke AME Church in Waco, Tx. He was very active in the Voices of Faith, YPD, Sunday School and many other areas in the church. He will truly be missed. Rev McDonald and family I do not need to tell to look to the hills from whence cometh your help, you already know that and also you already know that God is whatever you need him to be. He will be your comforter doing this time of bereavement. You all are in my thoughts and my prayers and I love you.

Justin definately had an infecious smile (just like the pastor). Not a day has gone by that I don't think of him. What a joy. Loved by so many. That was evident at his Celebration Day as his friends and family gathered to give support to one another. He added to all he encountered, always joking and having a great time while bringing happiness to a somber situation. I will especially treasure all the pictures I took of him during his time at Baker.

I just know that Justin is in awe today as he bask in the presence of God. What peace we can have in knowing Jesus.

Pastor, Sis Carol, and family, I extend my sincere condolences for you all.

To the McDonald Family--

The memory of Justin will forever remain in my heart. When you all were in Waco it seemed like I spent the same amount of time at your house as I did my own. It was at that time that Justin became my other brother. I will always remember and love him and your family will always be in my prayers.

I still remember Justin in the youth choir, in the Christmas programs, the Easter programs, and sitting in church with me at St. Luke because Carol would sometimes ask me to watch him during service. Boy, Justin was too cute and sweet (and he was something else, too). Your family will definitely remain in my prayers.

Dear Pastor McDonald, Wife and Children,

I met Pastor McDonald at the home of my sister, Ruth Alford Clemons, when she was ill a couple of years ago. A couple of weeks ago, you visited her in the hospital. I thank God for you and your visitation and prayers upon the sick and shut in. That is an integral part of the history of my childhood church, Baker Chapel. You have kept that alive.

God will give you strength that you never thought you would have, even in this sad hour. As your son makes his transition from this home to his heavenly home, I pray that his sweet memories linger with you and give you consolation.

I know that you know that we cannot lean to our own understanding.

God Bless and smile upon you now and in the days and weeks to come.

Blessings,

February 15, 2006

Rev. and Mrs. McDonald,

The Lord is our strength in the time of weakness. Continue to lean and depend on him. We are praying for you and your family during this time.
