Justin Blaine McKee, 34, of Connersville passed away, Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Indiana University Health, Indianapolis.
Justin was born in Indianapolis on August 14, 1988 to Matthew and Tammy McKee. He was a 2007 graduate of Avon High School and studied Culinary Arts at the Art Institute of Indianapolis. Justin had many passions, specifically WW II and aviation history, he was a proud Patriot. He enjoyed many things; cooking, boating, camping, Indiana State Parks, gun shooting and especially Brookville Reservoir. He cherished spending time with Ashley, Mason and Rozlyn, he was devoted to being a good father. Justin loved worshipping God. He was very musically talented; he played drums, guitar, piano and almost every instrument. Justin worked many years for Gillman's Do It Best in Brookville. He also worked in construction and landscaping, as well as cooking in several upscale restaurants
He is survived by his fiancé, Ashley Wicker; son, Mason; daughter, Rozlyn; mother, Tammy Sue (Joseph) Riley of Daleville, Indiana; father, Matthew G. McKee (Robin) of Dothan, Alabama; maternal grandmother, Judy Gardner of Rockledge, Florida; paternal grandfather, Dan McKee (Susan) of Pittsboro, Indiana; brothers, Dillon McKee of Daleville, Indiana, Nash Rooker (Olivia) of Martinsville, Indiana, Bryce McKee(USAF) of Rapid City, South Dakota, and Wesley Riley of New Castle, Indiana; sisters, Sarah McKee of Indianapolis, Indiana, Tia Pickhardt of Mitchell, Indiana, Britni Riley (Brian) of LaFayette, Indiana and Renee Davis of Anderson, Indiana; nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jack Gardner and paternal grandmother, Julie McKee.
Memorial Visitation for Justin Blaine McKee will be held from 12:00 – 3:00 pm, Saturday, June 17th at Greater Vision Ministries, 18149 US Hwy 52, Metamora, Indiana 47030, with a Memorial Service immediately following at 3:00 pm. Showalter-Blackwell-Long Funeral Home serving the family.
