Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Ackerly was "mom" to me for my 3 years at Practical Bible Training School (Davis College) during tne years 1972-1975. I cleaned her house twice a week which helped me pay my way through college. She made my formal dress for a special event during my senior year. Paid for all the material. I kept in contact with her for over 30 years. I loved her dearly. Was thinking about her today and found this opportunity for writing a memory. Her life and my memory is still making a great...

Remembering PBTS days ('84) ~ she was a great piano teacher! Prayers for the family.

SHE WAS A PRECIOUS SOUL. SHE TOUCHED ALL OF OUR LIVES. I REMEMBER A DAY THAT I CAME TO MY PIANO LESSON WITH A BAD COLD. SHE BROUGHT WE A CUP OF HOT TEA WITH LEMON & HONEY. SHE WAS A LOVELY & COMPASSIONATE LADY.

My husband and I attended PBTS in the mid 70s. We were privileged to travel with the Choir. They provided the music for our wedding. We have many special memories with them. God bless your family at her home going.

Ed ('76) and Shirlee ('77) Imes

Mr. and Mrs. Ackerly were two of the kindest people I have known. They would have me for lunch during my Practical Bible days, and were the musicians at Central while I was there. Heaven's gain our loss!

It saddens me that she has passed, but I rejoice that she is with her Lord and Savior and her beloved husband!! They were the sweetest couple. I enjoyed traveling with them on the choir! We would have to stop at all the covered bridges for Mr. Ackerly!

Prayers for your all!

Mrs. Ackerly was my piano teacher from first grade through eighth grade. She was a stickler...and as a child, I didnt appreciate that, but as an adult...playing in our church...I DO appreciate her constant reminders about sitting properly, holding my wrists correctly and practicing. Thanks to your mom for her love of music combined with ministry. She was a great and Godly woman.

Expressions of sympathy in the death of Mrs. Ackerly who with Rev. Ackerly was an inspiration to those of us who grew up in the church (Main Street Baptist) at that time. I remember her as a very kind and loving teacher as well.
