Karen was a lifelong resident of New Britain and was well known within the community. If you knew her, you loved her. Karen was a Teacher's Aide and worked with Amodio Moving and Storage for several years.

Karen enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John Cappa Sr. Karen was the daughter of the late Ida Henry and Leon McGuire. She was also predeceased by her two siblings, William McGuire and Kathy Smith, and leaves behind her sister Marilyn Hansen and her brother Walter McGuire. Karen is survived by her four cherished children, David A. Cappa, Deborah A. Cappa-Kotulski, John Cappa Jr., and Lynn Cappa.

Karen is also survived by nine nieces and nephews, 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was a very compassionate woman who had an incredibly kind soul.
