Karen Michele Chertok

My family met Karen at Millicent Rogers. We were so appreciative of all she did for the Millicent Rogers Museum Monday project. I will always remember how she encouraged and included every child. She was incredibly supportive of every parent as well. I was so happy when I read of her appointment to Director and so very very sad to read that she was called away from us here. She was a very special person.

I knew Karen would be a close friend immediately upon meeting her now almost four years ago. Together, we established, curated, and delivered the monthly "Millicent Unplugged" panel discussion of all things art and community for the Millicent Rogers Museum for which program I volunteered my time and energy as co-organizer and panel moderator. We spoke by phone or Zoom at least once a week, with our conversations deep into service to the members and public of the museum but thereafter...
