So saddened to read this news. I had not seen Karen for 16 years,but have vivid memories of her and her kind ways towards others, infectious laugh,and uplifting spirit. Truly a beautiful person inside and out. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. Sharon

Karen first welcomed us to her home 23 years ago as Carol and Marty's new UK friends. This year Karen and Wayne welcomed us as 'family'. The Karen we knew was full of life, generous with her time, multi-talented, a natural mother and great fun to be with. We are so sorry for your loss. Karen was such a sweet person. She was a great assistant and friend to my Dad. Wayne I don't understand why these things happen but GOD has a plan. Dawn and I will continue to pray for you and the family.

My condolences to Karen's entire family and friends. I knew Karen for 15 years while working in the same law offices with her. She was one of the most friendly and capable people I ever came into contact with. Her voice and laugh were infectious. I can't believe she is gone and will miss her greatly. There will never be another.

Karen .... I didn't know you well but the times we met you had the best aura around you, always smiling, always loving and happy. I grew up next to Wayne and my family loves him as one of our own. His life was fulfilled when he met Karen and it rips us apart to think of this great loss. We are there for ya always and forever! Love Kelli Austin and the Austin Clan... Karen has been my dearest friend and co-worker for the last 20 years. Even though I am now with another firm, Karen and I met often for lunch. I love Karen like she was a member of my family. Wayne, Shayne and Corey are dear and near to my heart as well. There aren't words to express how much I miss Karen already. But, I know that she is in heaven, is in the presence of Jesus and has been reunited with her boss that predeceased her, Henry P. Duffett. Karen, we will be together again soon. Carol, Marty and Matt, I am praying that God will give you peace and comfort. Wayne, I'm praying for you and love you and if you ever need anything, I'm as close as your telephone.

Karen was the best neighbor and friend in the world to Paul, Barbara, and Felica and she was great fun when she came to Connecticut to watch Felica play hockey at Quinnipiac and stayed with us. Our deepest sympathy to all of her family and her friends whose life she most definitely brightened. She will be an angel among all of you now.
