As this reminder came up in my emails it brought back so many , memories. Many here often ask about the family and remember Karen fondly. Would like to hear from the family.

Rick and I were so sorry to hear of Karen's passing. She was such a cheerful, kind person. I remember how she put up the curtains at the church. My condolences.

Tom, Ben and Becky. Karen was a gift to all she met and all that knew her - a wonderful wife and companion and a great parent and friend. She was truely an inspiration to me and many more of us who fight the good fight.

I am stunned. I had no idea she was doing poorly. My heart just breaks for you. I love you all and think about you often.

When I think of Karen, I can only think of her as someone who deserves a lot of credit for what she was able to accomplish both in and out of the classroom. It was the consistent example she set in her everyday life that really impacted me and so many others. She was a teacher who displayed professionalism while continually looking for ways to take her students' learning to the next level.
