Jane, I fondly remember staying at your house during grade school. Your Mom was always so kind and cheerful and welcoming! I often felt visiting at your home was like a very special retreat. May the comforting arms of the Lord hold you all close to His heart and be with you always. You're in my heart and prayers.

I have many fond memories from the years during college (1956-1961)when I worked for the Hanifins during the summers. I remember Karis as a very involved and talanted lady. We were treated like family. I had and have great respect for both her and Virg.

We'll miss you, "Mom Karis" and "Grandma Borger"! You have had a special spot in my life since I was a little girl playing with Susy, and then you became a part of our family after Fudge died and my mother died, and you married my Dad! We remember the crafts, your creativity, your love of gardens and nature, the fun fishing expedition with our kids, and the fun rhymes, riddles and quotes that you would say at any time or place!
