Not sure what to say?

Lady Karyn Purvis is one of the most spiritually deep and courteous people I have ever known. I had the pleasure to meet and hear her speak at the CAFO Summits down through the years and I worked closely with here at the National Foster Care Symposium in OKC, around 2014. She continues to be an inspiration to many. Here impact is everlasting.

Such a lovely lady. I have met her and all her wonderful information today. I am in foster parent in training. Thank you for all your contributions. God bless Dr Purvis family. I know you all miss her so much. Laurie Carreras

Six years ago today you passed away. Six years ago my life was shattered. For the past six years I have heard your soft voice ringing in my head, "I love you." Life without you isn´t easy. Every time we have to write in class, I write about you. I couldn´t thank God enough that he put you in my life. When people ask me who my role model is, its always you. When you left this world I didn´t think I´d every be able to move on, but the thought of you and what you would have wanted for me kept me...

No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. My deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.

I miss you every day, I can always feel your sweet soul watching over me. I am forever grateful to have had you as my grandmother. You changed my life and you are my biggest inspiration. You are the best role model in the world and I try every day to live up to your standards. Your body is gone but your impact on this world will be remembered forever. RIP

My wife and I first heard of Dr. Purvis as foster parents for troubled children here in Oklahoma City. Our local instructor, Rev. James Hunt, started our training group from scratch. He was so taken by Dr. Purvis training which he had earlier taken, he named our local group "Karis" as a way to honor Karyn Purvis. It was while watching her training tapes that I fell in love the wisdom and love for children Dr. Purvis continually demonstrated. She is still a treasure to this day.

I had the pleasure of visiting with Dr. Purvis at the Christian alliance for orphan conference in Chicago, I was so honored to be able to talk to someone so passionate about the " least of these". I would loved to be one of her protégés. I pray that I may someday serve the orphan the way Karyn did.

Heard Karyn's voice and encouragement for troubled children and their parents on a local Christian radio station in Dallas. Such an inspiration as I listened to her advice and encouragement.........oh how I wish I had heard or known of her when I struggled with my daughter. I will purchase her book, The Connected Child, to learn more and seek CASA to support the needs in our community. I share her passion for children....our future. So glad to see her picture and read more about her life...
