I am one of Kathleen's many good and grateful friends. We met in 1970 when I began working as a copy editor at Harcourt Brace. Kathleen was a great editor and a great personality. I was drawn to her by the sound of laughter that often drifted out of her office and all the knowledge that she so generously shared with me over the years.
