Not sure what to say?

Kaki was my best friend when we were 11-13. I moved away to South Carolina and was devastated when the accident occurred. We kept in touch over the years but lost track of each other. I have tried to find her and was finally successful, only to learn that she is gone. She was an amazing person and I am grateful that she was a part of my life.

I went to Capt. Shreve High School, graduating in the same class at Kathleen. She was such an inspiration to all of us in that class. I purchased her book "Don't Tell Me I Can't" several years ago and use it today in my class as an inspirations to my students. May God hold you her family in his loving arms as he is holding Kathleen by his side now.

My sincere sympathy for your loss. May our Heavenly Father give you strength and bless you with peace during this difficult time. Psalms 29:11

Proud to have met You, and wished i could have known you better.. Rest In Peace, my Friend..

DeSilva Family,
I'm sorry for your loss at this time. May the God of comfort be with during this time of loss (2 Cor. 1:4).

I remember Kaki in the front room of the Montclair house in Sugar Creek! She had a plexiglass book holder upon which she would ask me to turn the pages of her book. She laughed and made me laugh because as soon as I would leave, she would need the page turned again, as she was such a fast reader! She has been an inspiration to me ever since I met her, and I could never forget her.

I am so thankful that I answered a little ad in the classifieds in December 1974, otherwise I would not have met Kaki and the DeSilva family, and down the line her wonderful life-long friends and her loving husband, Peter. My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you and you are in my thoughts & prayers every day. Kaki - unforgettable and irreplaceable, a uniquely bright light who continues to shine.

Peter and family,
So sorry to hear of Kaki's death. So enjoyed talking to her on several occasions. What an inspiration to people all over the world. I could never have done all she did. RIP beautiful baby girl! Edlin&Angie Gauthier

Rest in peace
