Kathryn Jean Scherbarth

Mrs. Scherbarth, Jean, was the the mother of one of my closest high school friends, Kathy, and was our amazing brownie and girl scout leader in elementary school and junior high. Jean and Rollie were also friends of my parents and she was in a bridge club with my mom for years. I have lots of happy memories of her and the family, spending time at their home and from our scouting activities . I was involved with Mobile Meals of Toledo for over 20 years and got to know Jean through MM. As a young 20-something, Jean welcomed me on the Board and was so kind and generous with her expertise and experience. Later, when I became the Executive Director MM, Jean was a wonderful mentor, guiding through challenges that came down the road. I will miss her and her very kind and loving ways.

Dr. Scherbarth delivered me in 1955 as one of his first babies, I believe, and he was my doctor into adulthood. Dr. Henley was my dentist. Such fond memories of going to their practices at Wernert's Corners. Sorry for the family's loss.

Jean served on my Board of Managers at Versailles in the Woods II, Sylvania. She was a great help. She also managed the volunteer office at Flower Hospital. She was always willing to help when needed.
