To the White family,I am so sorry to hear of your mothers passing. I had the honor of working for her and the Mayor and it was one of the highlights of my time in Boston. Such an interesting lady to talk to, I learned a lot about politics during that time! She was kind and thoughtful and so good to me over the years. I was very fond of her and will always remember my time there. My deepest condolences to you all at this difficult time. May you find comfort, in knowing your father and her are together again.

Kathryn was a soul and figure of singular grace. Her life's example lifted up the highest values of human goodness and devotion and love and doing what is right. Mark, Caitlin, Beth, Patricia & Chris: Please accept my sincere sympathy on the passing of your Mum. I know that death is never easy to accept, but the pain does ease with time, as you know too well. Your Mum is now reunited with your Dad. Remember, she will live on in all of your thoughts and memories. I loved my godmother; she was such a strong and classy lady. As a younger cousin, I admired Kathryn and how well she handled her family and political life at a very challenging time in Boston history.
