Not sure what to say?

As one of her classmates from elementary school (and possibly earlier) through high school, we were in many of the same classes and activities (from Brownie Troupe to Girl Scouts, band, JV and varsity sports, Girls' Leaders, National Honor Society, student governmentthe list goes on). Though our lives diverged after high school graduation, we had the pleasure of reconnecting at our 40th year high school reunion. It was as if we were just picking up from yesterday. I spent my senior year of high school with Kathy and lived across the street from her. I just learned of her passing today and want to extend my condolences to her family. My thoughts and prayers are with them.

My condolences to Kathy's family. I first met Kathy in the 1980s when she visited from Australia and came to my workplace in Hyattsville, Maryland to talk about her food security research. We are saddened to learn of the death of Kathy. but grateful for her service to our nation with the Peace Corps in Burkina Faso.
Our condolences, The National Peace Corps Association

As a nutritionist, obviously Kathy wanted to provide the very best food for her family, and I benefited from that as well on...

My condolences to Phil, Katura, William, and the rest of Kathy's family. Many of us will miss her, but none as deeply as you.

I worked closely with Kathy over many years, drawing on her food security measurement research to strengthen the U.S. food security measure. What made Kathy's research so powerful was that she cared so much about the people affected by hunger and lack of adequate food. This was not just an academic project for her. I benefited in many ways from her professional...
