Not sure what to say?

You are never forgotten Dr. Rev. Katie Cannon. I bring your name up often as someone who influenced me greatly. You gave me the words "liberation ethics" and I see how impactful your wisdom is in my daily activism work for justice here in Cincinnati. Thank you for affirming me and inspiring me when I was a participant at the Women's Theological Center in 1986-87.

Dear Members of Rev. Cannon,
She really did a lot while she lived on this earth. May her works not go in vain.
With sympathy,
A fellow Scotia lady,
J.B. Smalls Mt. Pleasant, SC

Gosh, your age at your death seems younger every year, Katie. What you would have to say about the times in which we live now! Your words and actions survive, live on, and continue to inspire.

The shock of learning of your passing today leaves me without words of my own. It blessed me to encounter (and talk with) you again last October 2017 at Princeton Sem's Women in Ministry Conference. It was 35 years, when last I saw you at Union Sem in NYC. You affirmed and envigorated me last October, the way you did long ago. I am grateful to you, Katie, and especially appreciate your scholarly rigor and discipline in your foundational work of Womanist Theology, back in those difficult Union...

The energy of Sister Katie's spirit remains palpable. It is an honor to have known her. My condolences to all who loved her.

Condolences to family of schoolmate , [chez U.T.S., N.Y.C.]. I remember her as a strong personality at seminary. I read her obituary in the "N.Y. Times".

May God's promise comfort and sustain the family until Jesus'prayer for lasting blessings earthwide is answered..(Isa.26:19. Matt.6:10) Sincerely,hw

I knew her from the Society of Christian Ethics and attended a workshop in NC she led with Carter Heyward. I used her writings in my classes for many years. I am shocked by her passing. May her memory be for a blessing.

My heart goes out to Katie's family and friends. I was blessed to study with Katie when she taught at the Episcopal Divinity School. She inspired me and encouraged me. I am forever grateful.
