Katrina Holbrook Obituary
Mrs. Holbrook died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, after a lengthy illness. She was born on Feb. 6, 1919, in Birmingham, and had resided in Attalla since 1932.
Mrs. Holbrook was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; husband, Sam Holbrook; and son-in-law, Carl Dollar.
She is survived by one son, Talmadge (Sue) Holbrook, of Clanton; four daughters, Shirley (Joe) Wortham, of Memphis, Tenn., Gloria Dollar, of Attalla, Dianne (Mancel) Griffith, of Cullman, and Dani Lisa (Roy) Burke, of Attalla; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Joe Wortham Jr., Sean Griffith, Justin Burke, Jeremy Burke, Joshua Inman, Tyler Dollar and Adam Prince.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Joy Sunday School class and members of the First Baptist Church of Attalla and to Omega Hospice of Cullman, Ala., for their excellent care of our mother.
The family will accept flowers, or memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Attalla or a charity of your choice.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service on Wednesday.
