Kenneth Copp Obituary

Kenneth Copp Jr
Kenneth William Copp Jr. (Ken), beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on September 14, 2025, in Newburgh, IN, at the age of 92, after a short illness.
Born on November 7, 1932, in Gary, IN, Ken lived a life defined by curiosity, service, faith, and devotion to family. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1954 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, where he served as the Michigan Marching Band announcer during his senior year. From 1955 to 1957, he proudly served his country in Korea with the United States Army. A lifelong learner, Ken later earned a Master of Business Administration degree at the age of 54.
Ken shared 67 wonderful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Lynn Copp. Together they made their homes in Midland, MI; Poultney, VT; and Danville, KY before moving to Newburgh, IN, three years ago. His greatest joy was his family. He is survived by Lynn; his three children, Melissa Arseneaux (Todd), Greg Copp (Mary Beth), and Brad Copp (Leslie); nine grandchildren, Andrew Copp (Abby Ulcej), Eric Arseneaux (Mattie), Katie Duchak (John), Blake Arseneaux (Michaela Notman), Alex Copp, Ryan Arseneaux (Samantha), Janie Arseneaux, Lilly Copp, and Sawyer Copp; and three great-grandchildren, Lilah Notman, Anna Duchak, and Ethel Notman.
Ken's strong faith guided him throughout his life, and he was an active participant in the churches of every community where he lived. He gave generously of his time, energy, and expertise as a volunteer for countless causes. In retirement, he and Lynn traveled extensively, both domestically and internationally. Ken was always excitedly looking for the next adventure.
A celebration of life will be held at the Presbyterian Church of Danville in Danville, Kentucky, on Friday, September 26, at 2 p.m. An interment ceremony and reception will follow in July 2026 at Memorial Presbyterian Church in Midland, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice, or please reach out to a family member or loved one this week. That's what Ken would suggest.
