Mr. Fiore was my math teacher at Nathan Hale Junior High School in Cleveland in the 1970's and whenever I talk about a teacher that influenced me I reference Mr. Fiore. He made math fun by starting every class with a joke, most of the time it was a dud joke but he had a way of making you feel like math shouldn't be intimidating. As a retired teacher and Chess Master, Mr. Fiore was a treasured member of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. He helped design and served as the adjudicator for our middle and senior high school chess tournaments, since it's inception in 1984. He had such a kind and loving manner and he will be greatly missed. Our love and heartfelt condolences go out to Susan and the Fiore family.

Kenny will be greatly missed, my only cousin-in-law. We shared so many family holidays, music, and laughter. What a loss, too young.
