HAGAR, Kenneth C. Passed away December 26, 2010. He was born in the small ranching and farming community of Duncan, AZ, in 1925, which his family homesteaded when Arizona was still a U.S. Territory. He served honorably in the U.S. Army in WWII as a medic and saw action in the European Theatre....

I got to know Mr. Hagar when attending Jonas Salk Jr. High School in the late 1970's. I worked in the Principal's office for awhile and had the privilege to get to know Mr. Hagar. I remember a professional, kind, and calm man.

I would like to send my condolences to the Hagar family. Mr. Hagar was my Vice Principal at Jonas Salk Jr. High. If it weren't for him, there is no telling how my life would have turned out. He caught me taking items from kids' desk when I was given detention work. He confronted me about it and worked out a deal with me to work off the offense without telling my parents. He really took the time to show me the right direction to go in life. I never got a chance to thank him for that, and would...
