You taught me the meaning of integrity and devotion to duty for the years I worked on your Design squad when we were proud to be named the California Division of Highways. The gorgeous Monterey Freeway is an enduring monument to your engineering prowess. You were "The Man" long before the term was coined.

Kathy, your daughter was my childhood friend and neighbor. I remember you folks well. What a lovely family. I am recently widowed from my husband of 45 years who died due to exposure to Agent Orange in the Army...my heart felt condolences and prayers are with you and your family. May the God of peace fill your hearts with all joy and comfort.
