Find memories of working with Ken Platz!

Ken was my first middle school principal when I joined Har-Bur Middle School. He understood his staff and students. We didn't always see eye to eye but we always worked for the benefit of the students. He was always willing to let me try innovative and sometimes crazy things with my students like developing a sledding lab. I even got him on a sled! Rest in peace my friend.

Barbara, Justin, Kevin, Ursula, Thea, Scott & Ann Marie, So sorry to hear about Ken's passing. Thinking of all of you at this very sad time. So many great memories of all the years at the beach. Love, Tammy

As an incoming 7th grader,Mr.Platz was a tremendous leader for young students starting a new educational system. My sincerest condolences to all who knew him.

I greatly enjoyed working with Ken at Northwestern from 1977 to 1989. He had a good relationship with students and staff. I personally enjoyed running and cross-country skiing with KP. He will be missed.

Ken and I worked together as principal and guidance counselor for ten years. He was a memorable house master and personality. My sympathies to Thea, Scott, and Ann- Marie.
