I played on the same baseball team for 5 years with Chip growing up in Hamburg NY from 1956-1960. He was an excellent ballplayer and great teammate. He was our third baseman and he had a great throw to first- it always faded about 3 feet to his right - so he would plan for it and throw it so it would arrive at the bag. I caught many of those throws. Later he went on to be the captain of the Hamburg High School baseball team senior year. I lost touch with my after 1960 as I went to a...

Dear Tara, Angie and Casey,
Your Dad was one in a million and will be sorely missed by all that knew him. I always looked up to him and respected him so much because he was a good man, and if he said he was going to do something he did it. He was one of the best coaches I ever played for too- he really had a gift for working with young people. Chip was the type of man we all strive to be. A loving husband, and, father, grandfather, and brother. I will keep him in my thoughts for the rest of my life.
