WE WILL MISS BARNEY @ KFC IN LAVISTA. HE AND CRAIG WOULD MAKE THEIR WEEKLY STOP THERE TO CHAT W/ THIER BUDDYS HE ALWAYS PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE AND EVERYONE AROUND HIM. WHAT A LOSS." HE WAS ONE OF A KIND "

Barney's smile, cheerful demeanor and that fabulous pool shot will be sorely missed. We need more Barneys in this world. Take solace in his journey to a better place.

Craig, Gary and Debbie

Most sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. He will be sorely missed by many for the daily contributions he made in their lives. He meant not only a lot to his own family but to his extended Papio family, across many generations. He touched many people including me. Sorry to hear of your loss. Barney was more like a member of the family than a friend of the family. Loved his sense of humor and always being there for my Dad (Chuck). Brings back wonderful memories of Faith Church, The Golden Rule and Midland's fruit cake. He will be missed.

I was deeply saddened when i heard that Barney had passed. I will miss his greetings each week in church and will be sad that the pew behind me will now be bare. He will be deeply missed

I will miss you Grandpa Barney. That seat in church will always be researved for you.

I was sorry to hear of Barney's passing. I met him at Midlands Hospital when my mother was a patient there in 2003. Although I didn't know him well, he seemed like such a "people person," and I have never forgotten him. I am so sorry for your loss. I know he will be missed by many.

It was so sad to hear of Barney's passing. I remember going into the Golden Rule Supermarket as a kid, and as a teenager, I remember the support Barney gave the Papillion HS Band. Those are times I will remember fondly for the rest of my life.
My heartfelt sympathy to the Shives family.
